‘서권기문자향(書卷氣文字香)’이라 했던가? 옛 선비들은‘책을 많이 읽고 교양을 쌓으면 사람의 몸에서 책의 기운이 풍기고 문자에서 향기가 난다’고 생각하였다. 서예가 김두경선생의 문자조형연구소 문자향. 겸손한 마음으로 정진하는 서예인의 기가 살아 숨을 쉬고 붓끝에서 풍겨 나오는 문자의 향기 마당에 가득하다. 키 큰 감나무가 초여름 햇빛을 받아 잎이 푸르다. 태조로와 은행로가 만나는 사거리 가까이에 있던 이 문자향은 어느날 ‘놀부보쌈’으로 얼굴을 바꾸었으나 아직도 아담한 저 한옥 마루엔 서책의 향기가 남아 있는 듯하다.

In the past, wise men thought ‘If people read a lot and cultivate themselves, they give off the scent of the books they read and the letters they write’. Munjahyang is an institute of letter molding, run by a Seoye artist named Kim Du-gyeong. In the yard of Mujahyang, the spirit of a humbleminded Seoye artist envelops the air, and the fragrance coming from the tip of his brush fills the air. The leaves of the tall persimmon tree are greener under the strong sunbeam of the early summer. Munjahyang, once located near the intersection of Taejo-ro and Eunhaeng-ro, gave its way to 'Nolbu Bossam' restaurant one day, but we still feel the remains some fragrance of books at the corner of the floor in the snug and elegant hanok. |
