태조로와 은행로가 만나는 네거리에서 오목대 방향으로 걸어보자. 화강암으로 치장한 태조로 위를 지나는 자동차 바퀴에서 왜구를 무찌르고 개선하는 이성계장군의 말발굽소리를 들으며 오른 편에 제법 규모가 큰 웅장한 한옥을 보게 된다. 한식 문살의 고풍스런 분위기에 짙은 고동색 기둥과 검은 기와가 건물에 무게감을 실어준다.
전주의 대표적인 전통공예품들이 분야별로 일목요연하게 전시되고 있고 그에 대한 자세한 설명이 겸해져 있어 우리의 전통공예품을 잘 이해할 수 있도록 도와주고 있다. 우수한 전통공예품의 전시 판매와 더불어 마당에서는 투호나 굴렁쇠 놀이와 같은 전통놀이체험도 함께 즐길 수 있는 아름다운 공간이다.
Let's take a walk from the intersection of Taejo-ro and Eunhaeng-ro towards Omokdae. Strolling down Taejo-ro which is constructed of granite, we can hear the sound of Lee Seong-gye’s horves hooves on the granite road returning in triumph from beating off the Japanese pirate raiders, and there's a fairly large and stately hanok on your right. The unique Korean style wooden frames of the door of the building display an antique atmosphere and dark brown pillars and black roof tiles make this house look more magnificent.
The representative handicrafts are well classified and displayed neatly with complete explanations to help customers understand our traditional handicrafts. The Exhibition Hall is a great place where visitors look around the exhibitions or buy some of them, and they also experience the traditional games like throwing arrows in a pot or rolling hoops in the yard. |
